Mark's
Bio
Mark is originally from MI and
has been painting something from the time he was a kid.
His father operated a family owned auto body and
restoration shop in their back yard for 27 years. The
youngest of four brothers, Mark was drowned with cars,
motorcycles, snowmobiles and anything else with a motor
since he was a young. He painted his first car at the
age of 16 and has been pretty much painting something
every since. After several years of formal education and
a few different degrees, Mark decided to get back to
what he loved, but this time he wanted to take it to a
different level. In 2003 Mark accepted a job in Laramie
Wyoming as a custom sheet metal/fabrication instructor
at Wyotech, and this was around the time PROSSER PAINT
was born. At Wyotech, he was able to train with several
very talented metal fabricators and custom painters from
around the country. He was also exposed to several metal
shaping and fabrication training seminars and worked
long hours to hone the necessary skills to make sure
PROSSER PAINT kicked off with the guns loaded and the
right foot forward. In 2005 Mark moved from the
mountains to Birmingham AL to develop and teach a 3
month custom paint course at a private technical
college. He also taught custom sheet metal, welding and
sometimes collision refinishing. Here he received more
industry training along with factory training from PPG,
ALSA, and House of Kolor. Mark has done paint training
and airbrush seminars with many of the top artist,
trying to develop the skills necessary to tackle most
jobs. While in Birmingham, Mark developed his
relationship with Bryan Fuller, of Fuller Hot Rods and
host of Two Guys Garage on the Speed channel. Bryan and
Mark spent month’s together building the INDIAN that you
see on the site. Mark and Bryans relationship has led to
wonderful projects, great cross country trips, crazy
journey’s and now even collaboration on a custom sheet
metal fabrication book that will be on the market in
2010, Be sure to look for it. Bryan selected Mark and
another painter to be part of his build team when he
competed on TLC’s “BIKER BUILD OFF” show on the TLC
channel. Mark and Tim painted the bike, Mark striped and
lettered it and worked through the final assembly to
finish the bike. He and Bryan and (Bryans uncles) took
off on a several thousand mile trip that was part of the
show and ending in Hartford Connecticut.
While he was in Alabama, Mark was part of the team
that restored and custom painted Ted Nugent’s famous
zebra bronco for Stacy David’s “GEARS” T.V. show. He
recently painted two Reverend signature series guitars
for Ron Ashton of Iggy Pop and the Stooges. These
guitars we’re sent to Ron’s friend “Mikey” from Orange
County Choppers for his birthday. Mark’s work has been
seen on National T.V. bike and car shows around the
country and several publications. See our services page
for the different things Mark is involved in and capable
of helping you out with. Whether it’s a full blown paint
job, pinstripe job, metal shaping/ fabrication or
welding situation, At Prosser Paint we appreciate those
of you that understand quality, skill and artistic
ability. In 2008 Mark moved back to the Midwest and
ended up in Janesville Wisconsin where he lives and
teaches welding and sheet metal fabrication at the local
tech college, this is also the new home base for PROSSER
PAINT.
